Maya Lee Taylor

Maya Lee Taylor made her debut into the world on Monday, August 30th, 2009, at 11:26 a.m. in El Paso, Texas. She weighted 6 pounds 12.2 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

Maya was more than a week overdue and marginally beat a scheduled induction to begin the same day -- just like her sister! My water broke at home at 1:30 a.m. on the morning of my planned induction, and Maya was born less than 12 hours later.

Ayla is embracing the newest addition to our family extremely well. Her pronunciation of "baby" was "bob" for a few weeks. The name stuck and now Bob is synonymous with Maya at our house. We are enjoying domestic bliss during this month of paternity/maternity leave. We thank everyone for their well wishes and hope to introduce you to the latest member of our family soon!
